The cup depicts a Japanese village on the river, with stilt houses and trees again set against the backdrop of Japanese mountains. The details are exquisite, with a palette of soft colors, grays, yellows, blues and pinks. The rim of the cup is decorated with an intricate decorative border, which is gilded for a particularly eye-catching effect. Signed.
